Valerie Laver
Valerie Laver is an award winning visual artist working across watercolour, oil, acrylic, ink, and mixed media, alongside creating unique resin jewellery and small artefacts. She loves colour, and intuitive mark-making, with nature playing a strong and ongoing role in her visual language. Her paintings evolve through layering, experimentation, and gentle revision.
During Open Studios, visitors are invited into her working environment to see both finished pieces and works in progress, offering insight into how quiet ideas take form over time. Valerie welcomes conversation, curiosity, and connection, and hopes her studio is a place where people feel comfortable lingering, looking closely, and responding in their own way. She is open to commissions and studio visits by appointment.
