Esther Schouten

Nestled beside the Warrandyte State Park, landscape painter Esther Schouten draws rich inspiration from the natural world around her.

Her works – whether shimmering reflections in the Yarra River or the shifting light and shade across the bushland – are layered, expressive and deeply connected to place.

Working in lush oil paint with fluid brushstrokes, Esther’s pieces move between impressionistic beauty and experimental abstraction.

Esther also paints portraits in oil paint and landscapes in Water Colour paint. As well as offering workshops to the public.
