Jacquie Hacansson
I am spending most of her time doing existing commissions. Her studio as always, is welcoming people on the Open Studio days. It is a great way of sharing the pleasure, I’m delighted to be participating in the program for over 15 years. I’ve always been drawn to glass for its fragility, translucent qualities and colour, and it continues to be the foundation of my practice. I work with leadlight, mosaics, fused and fired glass. I have always been fascinated how the diversity of colour and shape can be made to work across different media, linking glass work to painting to sculpture. Now I am specialising in bespoke architectural designs specific for individual homes. I’m truly excited at the prospect of sharing my new work with visitors to the new Red Door Studio.
